Valerie Green (b. 1981) explores the idea of interface as it relates to photography, technology, and generation. Through many layers, her works challenge expectations of actuality and virtuality as she moves images fluidly between digital and analog photographic processes. She received a BA from the University of California Los Angeles in 2006 and an MFA from California Institute of the Arts in 2011. Her work is shown internationally and has recently been included in exhibitions at the Aperture Foundation in New York, the Culver Center for the Arts at UC Riverside, and the Torrance Art Museum. Her works are in the collection of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art ( LACMA), among others. Green is represented by Moskowitz Bayse in Los Angeles.
